In every session:
1. Become more drag and push-proof.
Become more difficult to push where you don’t want to go.
2. Escape if someone tries to hold you down (to the ground or bed or floor of a vehicle).
Disengage and get away even from someone bigger and stronger than you are.
3. Work on hitting really hard.
In self defence you have to make every shot count. Learn what the best shots are AND make them super powerful.

- So you can't be pushed about - because that's what the Bad Guy will try to do - move you so he won't be discovered and he can take his time.
- So you don't have to stay engaged and continue fighting like a martial arts superstar - because this is real life and you want to get home, not fight like you're in a movie scene.
- And because you might need to hit his BIG head and in that case you need to hit it really hard if you want to get away from someone who is insisting on keeping you there. (Punching a man's big head with your hands isn't the greatest solution by the way. Let us show you what is!)

Who's this for?
Every woman and girl who wants to learn real scenario-based self defence in a fun and safe environment.
We regularly coach uni students, working women, nurses, admin staff and business women.
We coach mothers, daughters and housewives.
Our sessions are fun, interactive and safe. Our coaches are highly experienced and qualified. The techniques are simple and anyone can use them. No flying head kicks and other silliness with unnecessary injuries and pain. This is not a martial arts class although we use plenty of martial arts skills. Come and have fun while you learn some very useful - and tried and tested - skills.
Sessions are for ages 16+ but 14 and 15 can attend with an adult female who is also taking part.

To help build a wall of powerful women worldwide.
Women and girls who cannot be attacked easily, and if they are attacked, well, it will be like trying to fight a brick wall.
That's what we want at Power For Women.
We want this wall to become stronger and stronger over time.
To achieve this we hope you will work with us in a collaborative manner, to look after each other and to develop each other.
We don't even teach you much because you already have the skills. You already have instinct and you’ve very likely thought about what you'd do if you were attacked. Unfortunately, most women and girls have thought this, right?
So we just take what you know and help you take it to the stratosphere.
Real power, by making tried and tested adjustments in how you hit, or how you resist someone pulling you or how you’d get off the floor safely if someone tries to hurt you there.
Using sports science principles as well as expert martial arts skills, and years of policing the streets of London.
We know what actually happens in real life because we've got female friends and family and we've done the research (UN WOMEN, the British Home Office, the FBI and more) and surveyed friends, colleagues and others.
So you only get skills that are useful. Nothing superfluous. No time wasted.

Who's this not for?
This is not for ninjas.
We don't coach 'fighting techniques' in these classes. In other words we don't teach how to engage when you could have gotten away. We don't teach you to move towards a fight when you could have moved away from it and gone home.
We don't teach Krav-Maga-fighting-against-seven-men-with-machine-guns-when-in-a-sexy-bikini-and-flip-flops. If you're getting into that kind of situation then it's probably because you're in a Hollywood production - well done for that, by the way! - but this training is not for you.
We cover the rare but more dangerous situations, such as 'the locked room' scenario, and how to fight off someone bigger and stronger, using sport science principles that concern power development and movement analysis, as well as police and military tactics. But mostly we don't want to be fighting. We want to be getting home instead.
We don't show how to beat Jiu jitsu superstars or cage-warriors. We stick to civilian reality and what women and girls need to navigate the common situations they really face.
Only reality based self defence. Only what you need.
